About the Healy Center

The Healy Center's mission is "To engage students and faculty in conducting applied research projects that promote sustainable economic development in southeastern Colorado. The Healy Center fulfills this mission through different projects throughout the community.

SoCo Entrepreneurship Competition

The SoCo Competition is southern Colorado's largest entrepreneurship event. Students and adults compete for chances to win scholarships and venture capital.


Pueblo Economic Forum

An analytical report that reveals indicators on jobs, income, housing, education, and other economic measures in the community. The community is invited to attend every year.


Sangre Cristo Arts Center

The Healy Center is participating with the Sangre de Cristo Arts Center to conduct an economic consulting anaylsis on impact, traffic, and growth for the facility.



The Healy Center is comprised of diverse and passionate individuals.

The Healy Center team is known as the Healy Fellows. The Healy Fellows range in different talents and specific job functions, but all contribute towards striving to fulfill the Healy Center's mission of sustaining economic growth in the region.

Great question. The Healy Center is comprised of several large projects that promote economic development in the community. We do this through entrepreneurship opportunities, economic analysis for the community, and business consulting to help business grow.
We are a group of passionate individuals (we call ourselves Healy Fellows), who believe in sustainable economic development in our community and want to see it grow.
